‘Pnuema’ took it’s lead from it’s big brother, ‘Liminal’. A while to come in to it’s own, it surprised with it’s bright colours and energy.
Before we took the emotion and feeling outside ourselves and drew pictures and built buildings and created things of beauty, we felt the expression inside ourselves, we felt the beat inline with the rhythm of our heart. Voice and movement came first, an ancient portal connecting ourselves to the breath of the land, the pulsating pattern of life buzzing beyond our senses. Dancing became a language of its own, intimately entwined with human traditions, culture, movements of war and peace, pleasure and pain and also simply a way to connect to the essence of what it is to be human. To connect to the space in between breaths, to the everlasting Spirit of the Country.
